The aim of Success on a Plate is to provide students with lifelong skills and to educate them about healthy eating and safety in the kitchen.
It provides a safe and nurturing environment for pupils to prepare, eat and learn and develop table etiquette. We also want to provide students with information regarding budgeting and the adaptation of recipes to make them more nutritious. Recipes used are collated and students are provided with a recipe book with all the meals cooked at the end of the 12-week cycle.
The 12-week cycle starts with the basics such as breakfast dishes, before developing skills and enhancing both students’ knowledge of nutritious food as well as developing their practical skills.
